Anything embarrassing must be kept in confidence.  I would hate for my kids to find out&#8230;  <\/p>\n<p>1. Started your own blog*  (yeah, like you couldn&#8217;t have guessed)<br \/>\n2. Slept under the stars (my husband says that we do that every night, but no, not without a roof)<br \/>\n3. Played in a band (it would not have been pretty)<br \/>\n4. Visited Hawaii<br \/>\n5. Watched a meteor shower*  (unfortunately, most of the meteors slated to fall that night were on strike&#8211; this was in Israel, if you hadn&#8217;t guessed)<br \/>\n6. Given more than you can afford to charity<br \/>\n7. Been to Disneyland\/world* (yes, both&#8230; to Disneyland with 9,000 mental health professionals- one of whom tried to use the belt of my raincoat to fasten himself to a sofa and another who barked on the roller coaster&#8230; but I digress)<br \/>\n8. Climbed a mountain* (Ham Rong Mountain in northern Vietnam, most recently, which has an orchid garden and the most magnificent views)<br \/>\n9. Held a praying mantis<br \/>\n10. Sang\/played a solo* (again, not pretty)<br \/>\n11. Bungee jumped<br \/>\n12. Visited Paris*<br \/>\n13. Watched a lightning storm at sea<br \/>\n14. Taught yourself an art from scratch*  (I was into learning every different art or craft there was so yes, weaving, photography, crocheting, drawing with pastels, crewel embroidery, fine embroidery&#8230; unfortunately, I have the patience and will to follow through, but no talent at any of it)<br \/>\n15. Adopted a child (almost adopted two!)<br \/>\n16. Had food poisoning<br \/>\n17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty* (on our honeymoon)<br \/>\n18. Grown your own vegetables* (not so successfully&#8211; paid more for the six beefsteak tomato plants than I could have gotten for selling the few cherry tomatoes they produced)<br \/>\n19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France* (both before and after she was encased in glass&#8230; she looked better before)<br \/>\n20. Slept on an overnight train* (most recently from Lao Cai to Hanoi)<br \/>\n21. Had a pillow fight<br \/>\n22. Hitch hiked<br \/>\n23. Taken a sick day when you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not ill* (only once&#8211; the day after my irrational boss had a huge meltdown on me and then I came home to find that my daughter from Israel had mysteriously appeared at my house in NY and was only going to be with us for 3 more days before she had to fly back)<br \/>\n24. Built a snow fort<br \/>\n25. Held a lamb<br \/>\n26. Gone skinny dipping* (&#8217;nuff said.  OK, well, there&#8217;s a story about that too, but I&#8217;m not telling it now)<br \/>\n27. Run a Marathon (only vicariously when my son ran one last January (Hooray for Ben!!!!)<br \/>\n28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice*  (music and all!)<br \/>\n29. Seen a total eclipse*<br \/>\n30. Watched a sunrise or sunset* (most recently at Angkor Wat and then at Pre Rup)<br \/>\n31. Hit a home run<br \/>\n32. Been on a cruise (not a long one, but a dinner cruise)* (long ones)<br \/>\n33. Seen Niagara Falls in person*<br \/>\n34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors (I&#8217;m in the homeland&#8230; just depends on how far back you mean)<br \/>\n35. Seen an Amish community*<br \/>\n36. Taught yourself a new language<br \/>\n37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied*<br \/>\n38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person* (Laughed for the first 10 minutes!)<br \/>\n39. Gone rock climbing<br \/>\n40. Seen Michelangelo\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s David*<br \/>\n41. Sung karaoke (the world is a better place for my not having done that)<br \/>\n42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt<br \/>\n43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant<br \/>\n44. Visited Africa<br \/>\n45. Walked on a beach by moonlight*<br \/>\n46. Been transported in an ambulance<br \/>\n47. Had your portrait painted* (not painted&#8230; it&#8217;s a sketch in pastels and it never really looked like me, but it hangs on the wall opposite my bed because my husband likes it)<br \/>\n48. Gone deep sea fishing  (not really but did go and watch them catch fresh fish on Halong Bay that we cooked and used for lunch an hour or so later)<br \/>\n49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person*<br \/>\n50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (took lots of pictures from afar, but no, didn&#8221;t spring for it)<br \/>\n51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling<br \/>\n52. Kissed in the rain<br \/>\n53. Played in the mud<br \/>\n54. Gone to a drive-in theater* (ask me sometime about the &#8220;Family Drive-In at Fort Campbell, Kentucky)<br \/>\n55. Been in a movie* (in &#8220;Tank&#8221; with James Garner&#8230; you can actually see me)<br \/>\n56. Visited the Great Wall of China* (a few times&#8211; each time more exciting!)<br \/>\n57. Started a business* (&#8220;Stop &#038; Shrink&#8221;&#8230; my family therapy practice- and no, that isn&#8217;t what I called it)<br \/>\n58. Taken a martial arts class<br \/>\n59. Visited Russia* (Moscow and St. Petersburg)<br \/>\n60. Served at a soup kitchen<br \/>\n61. Sold Girl Scout Cookies<br \/>\n62. Gone whale watching<br \/>\n63. Gotten flowers for no reason* (Got them for myself.  My husband apparently is waiting for me to have another baby since that is when he buys them for me.)<br \/>\n64. Donated blood, platelets or plasma* (It kind of gives me a high)<br \/>\n65. Gone sky diving<br \/>\n66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp*<br \/>\n67. Bounced a check<br \/>\n68. Flown in a helicopter<br \/>\n69. Saved a favorite childhood toy (toy? did they have toys back then?)<br \/>\n70. Visited the Lincoln Memorial*<br \/>\n71. Eaten Caviar* (didn&#8217;t like it)<br \/>\n72. Pieced a quilt<br \/>\n73. Stood in Times Square*<br \/>\n74. Toured the Everglades<br \/>\n75. Been fired from a job<br \/>\n76. Seen the Changing of the Guards in London* (yes, to the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein!)<br \/>\n77. Broken a bone<br \/>\n78. Been on a speeding motorcycle<br \/>\n79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person<br \/>\n80. Published a book* (my dissertation-  and a chapter in another book)<br \/>\n81. Visited the Vatican*<br \/>\n82. Bought a brand new car* (twice, but the love of my life was my &#8217;66 Mustang)<br \/>\n83. Walked in Jerusalem* (many times, but never get over the thrill)<br \/>\n84. Had your picture in the newspaper* (once mislabeled as someone else which led to some gossip and once &#8220;cooking&#8221; for Passover with a bunch of empty pots on the stove&#8230; a few more times, but not ever for something really noteworthy.  It&#8217;s easy to be famous when you live some of the places we&#8217;ve lived)<br \/>\n85. Read the entire Bible<br \/>\n86. Visited the White House* (Spoke with Ladybird Johnson&#8211; what a classy lady!)<br \/>\n87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating<br \/>\n88. Had chickenpox*<br \/>\n89. Saved someone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s life<br \/>\n90. Sat on a jury<br \/>\n91. Met someone famous*<br \/>\n92. Joined a book club*<br \/>\n93. Lost a loved one*<br \/>\n94. Made a baby* (actually, made 5 adults)<br \/>\n95. Seen the Alamo in person*<br \/>\n96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake (swam in the Dead Sea which SO outclasses the Great Salt Lake)<br \/>\n97. Been involved in a law suit*<br \/>\n98. Owned a cell phone*<br \/>\n99. Been stung by a bee*  (I once stepped on a hornet&#8217;s nest)<\/p>\n<p>Comments are welcome.
